Over a year ago Tony Dalton took over this pub, and he has injected new life into the place. The keys are very nice and efficient service, reasonable prices, and a liberal atmosphere where students can have fun.

The Wilde Saga

Back in 1996, Lian Allen came to Tartu with a big dream. He wanted to create a great meeting place, a place where you would go to see everyone you knew. And thus the Wilde Irish pub was born. Liam sold the business some years ago and since then it has had its ups and downs. But now it is reopened under Estonian management. Wilde is now an Estonian “locale”. But it retains much the same idea that Liam gave us. And Nico Lontras has a lot more freedom as head chef in the kitchen. Will it work out? Let’s see.

Great places have great stories connected to them. Take Forks, Washington, for exmaple. Forks is famous for a story that never happened. It is where Bella met Edward the vampire.
